Nutting Engineer’s geotechnical exploration and engineering services cover the full range of subsurface investigation and analysis needed to support informed design and safe construction. Our work includes site explorations, laboratory sample analysis, site and foundation design recommendations, feasibility studies, ground modification strategies, and large-scale geological and preliminary site survey programs.
We apply advanced geophysical and testing methods—including soil borings, rock outcrop evaluations, resistivity testing, hydrogeologic testing, GPR, monitoring well installation, and seismographic equipment—to deliver a comprehensive understanding of subsurface conditions.
In addition, Nutting Engineers provides pre- and post-condition surveys, forensic evaluations, and litigation support. Our three in-house drillers are trained to perform geotechnical drilling in accordance with the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards.
Our Drilling Fleet and Capabilities
Nutting Engineers operates three truck-mounted soil and rock drilling rigs, including a Mobile B-57 and two CME rigs, plus powered portable tripod equipment for limited-access locations. Our three in-house drillers are trained to perform geotechnical drilling in accordance with ASTM, SFWMD, and FDOT standards.
To support larger programs or overflow, Nutting Engineers also partners with a network of highly qualified subcontract drilling companies.
