Nutting Engineers provided geotechnical and construction-phase services for the development of an eight-story, 108,000-square-foot hotel featuring 174 modern guestroom suites, dedicated meeting space for up to 200 guests, and outdoor amenities including a pool and seating areas. The project required soil improvement through vibro-replacement, installation of post-tensioned slabs, shallow foundation construction, and a structural steel superstructure.

Vibro-replacement monitoring for 325 improvement points

Oversaw ground improvement activities to ensure proper installation, compaction, and performance of the vibro-replacement columns supporting the hotel’s shallow foundation system.

Building pad preparation oversight

Monitored earthwork and subgrade preparation to confirm that the building pad met required density, stability, and elevation specifications for safe structural construction.

Post-tension stress monitoring

Verified stressing operations for post-tensioned slabs, ensuring cables were tensioned to specified values and documented in accordance with project engineering requirements.
