Nutting Engineers of Florida, Inc. (NEOF) is an independently owned company offering geotechnical and construction materials engineering, testing and inspection services. The firm was founded in Pompano Beach, Florida in 1967 and has over a quarter-century of continuous experience in South Florida.

Our firm provides a comprehensive range of services for the construction industry including geotechnical engineering, quality control testing and inspection of construction materials and structural building inspection including threshold buildings. Areas of service include asphaltic concrete, masonry, portland cement concrete, soils, steel, wood, and other materials.

Clients include architects, engineers and planners, developers, general and specialty contractors, private owners and public agencies. We are pre-qualified to provide geotechnical engineering and testing services for Florida Department of Transportation and various County Engineering departments and School Boards in South Florida. We are members of American Council of Independent Testing Laboratories and Concrete Materials Engineering Council.

Company Facilities

Our modern company owned office and laboratory facility in Boynton Beach, Florida has a building area of over 17,000 internal square feet with exterior facilities to secure an extensive fleet of drill rigs, support trucks and equipment trailers. We have kept pace with the growing engineering activities of Florida through innovation, expansion of our premises and acquisition of modern vehicles and equipment that are serviced by our on site maintenance facility. Field laboratories are set up as necessary to serve specific projects.

Personnel Qualifications

NEOF employs professional engineers, geologists and certified water well drillers and specialists, among other skilled and certified professionals to participate in the completion of our projects. Our experienced and qualified field/laboratory technicians, certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and for nuclear density gauge use, are committed to perform accurate testing, thorough inspections and provide the best possible service with timely reporting. Additionally, our laboratory is accredited by the Concrete Materials Engineering Council and Florida Department of Transportation. The company is an active member of the American Council of Independent Laboratories. Our project engineers are ultimately responsible for providing the necessary technical input and evaluations for the various projects.

State of the Art Equipment

NEOF is committed to providing state of the art equipment to best serve our clients. Among our modern equipment are B-57 and B-59 Mobil Drill Rigs, light weight Simco 2800 Drill Rigs, punch rigs and a portable MOS units. Our vehicles and equipment allow for a great diversity of conditions and are capable of providing auger drilling, rotary drilling, and undisturbed soil sampling to a wide variety of depths. Insurance

Our company maintains general liability insurance with limits at $2,000,000, professional liability insurance with limits at $1,000,000, vehicle liability insurance with limits at $1,000,000, employers liability insurance with limits at $1,000,000, and workers compensation insurance at the statutory limits. Certificates of insurances can be issued prior to the commencement of work at the request of the client.

Quality Assurance

The field operations performed by NEF follow our approved Comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan. This QA/QC Plan contains, in detail, well installation procedures, field sampling techniques, laboratory testing specifics, and safety guidelines followed by NEF field technicians. In addition to having certified water well drillers, NEF maintains trained OSHA safety personnel on staff.
